Storyboards of "Whos Corner Is It?"

Treatment for "Whos Corner Is It?"

I am doing a corny cartoon that I thought of a year or two ago. I had no idea how to make animations so I downloaded a 2D software that was for five year olds, and made this cartoon. I am intrigued about how better I can make it look now with all of the skills I learned so far.

My idea is called “Whos Corner Is It?”. It is about a corner drug dealer and a pharmacist who are battling for territory, trying to convince a little girl not to go to the other one. It starts off with a little girl walking down the street, until she spots a drug dealer on the corner. He convinces her to come over and talk to him, and asks her “so…what do you need little girl”. While he is trying to conduct business the pharmacist interferes and tries to get her to come over to him. After a couple unsuccessful tries the pharmacist gets angry, but then realizes that there is one big difference between them, his is illegal. The pharmacist calls the police, who chases off the drug dealer. The little girl goes over to the pharmacist, and he says “ so… what do you need little girl”.  The end!

I plan on drawing the characters, and all the positions I will need them in (which is about 2 or 3 positions for some of them), for movement on the screen. Then scan and rotoscope them in photoshop, add color, and chop there arms and legs up into different layers, because the arm and leg movements will be done with parenting in After Effects. I will then take a picture of a street corner so I can rotoscope it in photoshop for the background. All other movement will be done in After Effects. I will be using effects in AE for the angry pharmacist close up, and for the drug dealer close up of his “drug dealer sense” (coping spider sense in spider man). Then I will be doing the voices of the drug dealer, pharmacist, and cop; my friend will do the little girl’s noises. I will add music where need be.
